小久保まい KOKUBO MAI
浜松市立高等学校、国立音楽大学 器楽科(ユーフォニアム)を卒業後、渡米。ノーステキ サス大学大学院 演奏研究科 (ユーフォニアム)を修了。 2012年日本管打楽器コンクールユーフォニアム部門最高位(1位なし2位)を受賞。2010年 国際 ユーフォニアムテューバ会議(ITEC) アリゾナ大会 Solo Euphonium Artist 部門とMock Band Euphonium部門の両部門本選出場。2009年 ファルコーニ国際ユーフォニアムコンクール 第3位受 賞。日本管打楽器コンクールユーフォニアム部門第2位(2009年)、第4位(2007年)、第4位(2005 年)、受賞。 2014年1月すみだトリフォニー小ホールにて初のソロリサイタルを開催。2015年初のCD「不思 議の国の戦争(ブレーン株式会社)」発売記念ツアーとして、東京、静岡、大阪、京都にてリサイタルを開催し好評を博した。同CDはレコード芸術誌準特選盤に選出、国際テューバ・ユーフォニア ム協会のCD賞、Roger Bobo Awards 2016 としてノミネートされた。 2014年、16年、19年に国際ユーフォニアムテューバ会議 (ITEC) のゲストアーティストとして招 聘、アメリカでのリサイタルを成功させる。 2020年2月、女性ユーフォニアム奏者としてはじめてソロリサイタルを東京文化会館小ホールにて 開催。
2020年11月、自身２枚目のCD「巫女の舞」(ウエストミンスター株式会社)より発表。同CDはレコード芸術誌準特選盤に選出、国際テューバ・ユーフォニア ム協会のCD賞、Roger Bobo Awards 2021 としてノミネートされた。
2023年ITEC(国際テューバ・ユーフォニアム大会)内で開催Euphonium Artist部門コンクール審査委員長に選出。さらにEvening Concertのソリストとして保科洋／巫女の舞を演奏。
2023年ファルコーニ国際テューバ・ユーフォニアムコンクールのゲストアーティストとしてリサイタルと公開レッスンを実施。
ソリストとしてこれまで UNT Wind Symphony (ユージーン・コーポロン指揮)、UNT Symphony Orchestra (フーン・チョイ指揮)、東京ニューシティ管弦楽団(渡邊一正 指揮)、フィ ルハーモニックウインズ浜松(保科洋 指揮)や、全国の中高校吹奏楽部とも共演を果たしている。
これまでにユーフォニアムを、ブライアン・ボーマン博士、三浦徹、露木薫の各氏に師事。 現在、洗足学園音楽大学、金城学院大学、常葉大学短期大学部、常葉大学附属橘高校、甲斐清和高校音楽科、浜松学芸高校音楽科、静岡県立浜松江之島高校芸術家、各非常勤講師。
2015年5月9日、アクトシティ浜松 音楽工房ホールにて、第1回浜松ユーフォニアム・チューバフェスティバルを
フィルハーモニックウインズ浜松のテューバ奏者の栗原良紘と山本和邦とともに主催。約120名の参加者が集まり、
ウォームアップ講座、吹奏楽コンクール対策講座、プロ・愛好家・中高生によるユーフォニアム &チューバのコンサートなどを企画、好評を博す。その後、2017年3月11日（土）「ユーフォニアム・テューバ大勉強会」、2018年5月26日(土)「第2回浜松ユーフォニアム・テューバフェスティバル」も開催、常に100名以上の参加者が募り、大成功を果たした。
2019年「第1回浜松ユーフォニアム・テューバキャンプ」を開催。二泊三日の充実したイベントを成功させた。
2023年「ステージマナー講座」並びに「それ英語でなんて言う⁈」を開催。
ユーフォニアム奏者、バストランペット奏者としてオーケストラや吹奏楽団にエキストラ出演。

Mai Kokubo (Euphonium) is from Shizuoka, Japan and holds a Master of Music Degree in Euphonium Performance from University of North Texas where she studied under Dr.Brian Bowman from 2008-2010.
She also holds a bachelor degree from Kunitachi College of Music where she studied under Mr.Toru Miura from 2002-2006.
Mai placed 2nd at the 2012 Japan Wind and Percussion Competition (1st prize was not awarded), the finalist of ITEC 2010 Euphonium Artist division and Mock Band Euphonium division, and she won the 3rd place at the 2009 Leonard Falcone International Competition. Also, she got the 2nd prize in 2009, the 4th in 2007, the 4th in 2005 at the Japan Wind and Percussion Competition.
She had her first solo recital at Sumida Triphony, Tokyo, Japan, in January 2014. Her 1st Album "A War in Wonderland" was released on May 29th 2015 and she succeed her recital tour in Tokyo, Shizuoka, Kyoto and Osaka.
Moreover, she became the first female Euphonium player who had a recital at Tokyo Bunka Kaikan hall which has a long history in Japan.
As a Soloist, she has performed with Tokyo New City Orchestra (Conducted by Kazumasa Watanabe), UNT Symphony Orchestra (Conducted by Hoon Choi), UNT Wind Symphony(Conducted by Eugene Corporon), Philharmonic Winds Hamamatsu (Conducted by Hiroshi Hoshina) and with multiple school bands.
Mai has also been invited to appear as a guest artist at various esteemed music festivals including the International Tuba Euphonium Conference (ITEC) 2014 Indiana, 2016 Tennessee, and 2019 Iowa in the U.S.
She chosen as a head judge of ITEC 2023 Euphonium Artist Division. Also, she was selected as a Guest Artist of ITEC 2023 and performed "Miko Dance" by Hiroshi Hoshina with Salt River Brass Band which conducted by Hiroshi Hoshina. Moreover, Mai was invited as a Guest Artist of Falcone International Tuba and Euphonium Festival 2023.
She currently teaches at Senzoku Gakuen College of Music, Kinjyo Gakuin University, and Tokoha Gakuen Junior College, Kai Seika High School, and Hamamatsu Gakugei High School.
